Will Matt Damon Ever Make Another Bourne Movie?

Oh man. This actually might be exactly what the franchise needs!
At least, according to Matt Damon!
The actor recently opened up about why he and Paul Greengrass ultimately turned down the opportunity to continue the Bourne Identity franchise with a fourth sequel, but also expressed his approval of director Tony Gilroy and replacement Jeremy Renner succeeding them - and his hopes that the pair can kick ass on screen TOGETHER in a possible fifth movie!
He says:
“It’s a director’s movie and I’m s
orry, that’s the first person you need, the director. I wouldn’t do it without him [Greengrass, who directed the previous two Bourne movies]. And he was ready to do one and they gave us a release date without a script, and he backed away. He just went, ‘I’m not sure we can guarantee it’s going to be as good as the other ones.’ And that was enough for me to take a step back. I don’t think the Gilroy Bourne has any bearing on our franchise. Because if it came out and bombed, we could just ignore it and make another one. But I don’t think it will. I think Tony’s really smart, he's a great director. My guess is that Bourne is going to come out and be great and be exactly what people want and there will be room for us to do another one and it’ll all work out. The guy’s got his memory back three times in a row now and if you hear that character say I don't remember again … you have other issues. It’s not amnesia, you have a learning disability.”
