Little and large: Charlize Theron towers over Kristen Stewart at photocall for Snow White and the Huntsman

There may only be four inches between them but today Charlize Theron and Kristen Stewart looked like mother and child.
The 36-year-old blonde actress towered above the Twilight star as they posed for photos at a photocall for their upcoming film Snow White and the Huntsman.
The famous ladies appeared to be very different heights as 5'10" Charlize wrapped her arm around the dark-haired star in the grounds of Arundel Castle.

Both women looked rather chic as they showed off their legs at the picturesque location.
Kristen highlighted her slender frame in a black leather mini skirt and dark green jumper with black heels and a simple pendant worn around her neck.
Charlize, on the other hand, opted for the monochrome look in a black and white knee-length dress which she wore with black lace-up heels.
The actress' were joined by their male co-stars Chris Hemsworth - who plays the Huntsman - and Sam Claflin, who takes on the role of Prince William.

As the foursome posed on the grass, Chris flashed a huge smile for the camera while Sam appeared serious and a little detached from the group.
Arundel Castle was no doubt chosen as the location as various scenes from the film were shot in Farnham, Surrey.
Kristen takes on the role of Snow White in the fairytale adaptation, while Charlize plays her evil stepmother Queen Ravenna.
Earlier this week, the famous pair told MTV Movie Night why they think the classic story still captivates viewers all these years later.

'It’s amazing how relevant the story is after all of these years,” Charlize said. 'We all really want to make these movies that make people feel things.'
Kristen agreed, saying: 'We’re making a new fairy tale and it’s so worthy of the word. It really does take you somewhere that is otherworldly.'
When asked how the experience has been playing such a powerful role, she said she sees a human quality in the character: 'It’s really been awesome to play a young girl who is so human.'
Snow White and the Huntsman is set to be released in the UK on May 30.

Autumn 2011 movie preview: Fall films hold promise of more substantial fare

"The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1"
My excellent colleague George Lang of Staticblog and I tag-teamed this story, which also appears in Friday’s Weekend Look section of The Oklahoman.
Fall movie preview holds promise of more substantial fare
With the blast-furnace heat of summer starting to subside in Oklahoma, the films of fall require more than just movie theater air-conditioning to be cool. The fall movie season looks like a boon for audiences looking for more substance, including new films by Steven Soderbergh and George Clooney.
With the blast-furnace heat of summer starting to subside, the films of fall require more than just movie theater air-conditioning to be cool. Starting this weekend, the movies populating the multiplexes start to feel a little more adult as studios position their elite properties for awards season.
But this year, the shift in tone will not feel as abrupt as it has in recent years. August is usually a dumping ground for lowbrow comedies and slapdash horror garbage, but in 2011, the month was dominated at the box office by the heartfelt period drama “The Help,” which is expected to surpass $100 million this weekend. So in the next few months, once viewers get past Nick Swardson’s porn-oriented comedy opening today, the fall movie season starts to look like a boon for audiences looking for more substance, including new films by Steven Soderbergh and George Clooney.
"Contagion"
Friday
Matt Damon, Marion Cotillard, Kate Winslet and Laurence Fishburne face down the consequences of a global epidemic in Steven Soderbergh’s slow-burning, hyper-realistic drama “Contagion.”
The acclaimed indie science-fiction film “Attack the Block” centers on a group of South London gang members who battle invading aliens.
In “Warrior,” Tom Hardy of “Inception” revisits the fight scene he dominated in 2008′s “Bronson” as a mixed martial arts fighter trained by his alcoholic ex-boxer father, played by Nick Nolte.
