My hair is falling out in clumps!' Newly blonde January Jones says she might 'shave it off' as over-dyeing causes damage

As she stepped out for the SAG Awards last  night, January Jones looked every inch the glamorous star.
But despite her polished appearance the newly blonde Mad Men actress has revealed that her constantly changing hair colour has sparked hair loss.
'I have been every color and now my hair is falling out in clumps,' she admitted. 'I’m going to have to shave it off and wear a wig.'

January, who plays icy blonde Betty Draper on the hit TV series, has previously been a brunette and redhead in her acting career.

'I like it all colors, it makes you feel different according to what color it is, but I prefer to be blonde,' she told ABC News.
'My son recognizes me in photos when I am blonde. He says, "Mama."'

January will be appearing in the latest series of Mad Men when it returns in April.

Her appearances in the last series were restricted due to her real life pregnancy.

The actress had a son Xander Dane in September 2011 but has never revealed the name of the father.

Pop star Lady Gaga and TV personality Kelly Osbourne have also reportedly suffered hair loss because of hair dye.

Kelly admitted three years ago to getting bald patches after a hair colorist forgot about her in the chair.

Lady Gaga, a natural brunette, has also spoken honestly about the difficulties of maintaining her platinum blonde look.

'[I] must occasionally get a chemical haircut because my blonde hair is falling out,' she told People magazine.
