'The line was too long!': Bill Rancic and son photobomb Santa in baby's first Christmas snap

'The line was too long!': Bill Rancic and son photobomb Santa in baby's first Christmas snap

Bill and Giuliana Rancic left it to the last minute to capture son Edward Duke's first encounter with Santa on Christmas Eve.
But the little boy will have to make do with a grainy Twitter picture in the family photo album after the couple decided they didn't want to wait in a long line at a local Chicago mall.
InsteadBill and his boy cheekily photobombed St Nick in front of a barrier while he was between customers.

It also meant they didn't have to pay for the pleasure - an official print of a frame with Santa can cost around $20 in some US shopping centres.
Giuliana tweeted the picture along with the caption: 'Line was too long to see Santa. #nextbestthing #costeffective.'
The couple welcomed their little boy into the world in August via a gestational surrogate.

The E! News host as admitted that returning to work November was more difficult than she expected.
She toldLife & Stylemagazine this month: 'It is hard. What's important now is different from what was important a few months ago.
'I used to linger around the office. I was always working even at home. It was 24 hours a day.'
'The other morning I was having the best time with Duke and he was making faces that I had never seen before and was being so cute. Then I looked at the clock and I had to go to work. So I keep thinking, "Am I going to miss something?"'
Bill added: 'With Giuliana, it's remarkable to see how the baby has changed her, just the devotion the little guy evoked and the mother instincts kicked in.'
To help Giuliana, Bill sends her videos of Duke every day.
She said: 'It's one thing to look at pictures. But when I see video, I feel like I'm with him.'
