'Up until 2am constructing a train set... and my son just wants to play with a broom!': Neil Patrick Harris joins stars sharing tweets from Christmas Day

Neil Patrick Harris has revealed he spent hours preparing Christmas presents for his twins, only to have his son shun toys in favour of a household broom.
The How I Met Your Mother star, 39, posted a picture of his two-year-old son Gideon Scott, sweeping the floor of their LA home while wearing a Santa suit.
The actor's bemused partner David Burtka is seen watching on in the background of their kitchen along withGideon's twin sister, Harper Grace

Neil told his Twitter fans: 'Up until 2am constructing a table with wooden trains for Gideon and all he wants to do is play with a broom.'
He also shared other festive snaps from the day, including a shot of Harper trying on a pair of toy glasses.
He wrote alongside the picture: 'Ms. Harper likes Mr. Potato Head's fashion sense. She is quite the looker, but I think it's a bit shortsighted.'

Earlier this year the couple appeared on Oprah to explain the complicated science behind the birth of their fraternal twins.
It involved two embryos, one for each of them, and a surrogate who Burtka said was 'more like the oven.'
The couple knew the surrogate, but the egg donor - whom they found through a donation bank and thus were able to research her personal and medical history - was anonymous.
Patrick told Winfrey they 'lucked out' that both of the embryos took.
'We really had thought it through financially, emotionally, relationship-wise. We didn’t just accidentally get pregnant. These kids come into our world with nothing but love,' he said.
Meanwhile, other stars also took to Twitter today to share their festive fun.
Celebrity stylist and fashion designer Rachel Zoe posted a family snap from her family's trip to St Barts - Rachel, of course, looking as posh as ever in a wide brimmed hat, oversized sunglasses and two-toned sarong.
