Growing:
Jenny McClendon, who starred in Raising Sextuplets with her ex-husband
and their six children, has now had another child with her new husband,
Levi McClendon, who already has two sons
Hehas two children from a previous relationship, but in November she revealed in a blog post for ImperfectWomen.comthat their combined total of eight children was just not enough.'We knew right away that we wanted to have a baby, to share the experience together (if possible), of a pregnancy and a child of our own,' she wrote.
Yet she was unsure how likely another baby would be, as her new husband had undergone a vasectomy and she had previously suffered fertility problems.
But after he underwent an operation to reverse his vasectomy, 'we just let it go and hoped for the best'.
'I took a pregnancy test, and after one month of trying to get pregnant… it was POSITIVE!' she wrote.
'I honestly could not believe my eyes and honestly did not believe it was true. I took a few more pregnancy tests over the next week, and much to my surprise, they were all positive.'
Old
life: Jenny starred in Raising Sextuplets, filmed between 2009 and
2010, with her then-husband Bryan Masche. They are pictured in 2010 with
their sextuplets, from left, Grant, Blake, Savannah, Molli, Bailey and
Cole
'We are SO excited, elated and still in shock
that we are getting to experience this amazing miracle together and add
another precious life to our already precious and abundant brood!,' she
wrote.'All 8 children are so excited. They talk to the baby; kiss the baby; fight over who is going to sleep with the baby, hold the baby and help with the baby.'
The good news comes just ten months after the couple married in a quiet ceremony on the beach in San Diego.
'When they came back to stay with me, they were very hush-hush. I knew what had happened,' he said, adding that he thinks his ex-wife and Mr McClendon told the children to keep it under wraps.
New love: She married Levi McClendon in a low-key ceremony on the beach in San Diego, California in March
Fresh start: McClendon contacted her after seeing her on TV and they began speaking before her divorce
He
was arrested in 2010 after a confrontation with his wife about the
affair become violent. The two went through a bitter divorce.
Ex: Bryan Masche was arrested for verbal battery in 2010 after the couple argued about McClendon
However,
news of their marriage came as a relief to Mr Marsche, who said he can
finally move on. 'My life is already better all the time. I have more
peace.'He added that he felt bad for Mr McClendon, who will now 'see the real Jenny'.
Mr Masche said that being on a reality show was a poor choice for him and his family. He told RadarOnline that he has no plans of returning to that lifestyle.
In an interview a year ago with People magazine, she gushed at how happy she was to be in the news relationship, saying it's 'where God wants me to be'.
Mr McClendon co-founded a text-message marketing company in Arizona. He reconnected with Jenny after seeing her on TV.
'I’ve never been this happy,' she said.
She said talking that to her Mr McClendon, an old boyfriend, before she and Bryan were separated was 'wrong, but it wasn't an affair'.
Raising Sextuplets chronicled the Masche family struggles and the lives of their six children - Savannah, Bailey, Grant, Cole, Molli, and Blake. It ended in 2010 after running for two seasons.
The Masches, who married in 2004, immediately began to try for a family, despite fighting constantly.
'I did not believe in divorce,' Jenny said. 'We went on to have kids because I thought that would make me happy.'
Brood: The Masches had sextuplets after undergoing fertility treatment following two miscarriages
Having a high-risk pregnancy and six newborns added extra tension at home, Jenny told People, though she said filming Sextuplets also helped their marriage.
'It gave us something in common,' she said.
The Masche story echoes that of the more-famous Gosselins, stars of Jon & Kate Plus 8, who had twins and then sextuplets.
After several years of reality show stardom on TLC, the couple split two years ago. Kate tried her hand at starring on the show without her husband, Kate Plus 8, but that was canceled last fall.
