Opposites attract as cats and dogs pair up and snuggle down for Valentine's Day

If these photos are anything to go by this Valentine's Day then opposites really do attract.
From cats cuddling dogs, to bunny hugs between kittens and rabbits - its enough to melt even the coldest of hearts.
The heartwarming shots were all taken by animal photographer Mark Taylor.

He followed in the footsteps of his late mother Jane Burton producing enchanting images involving adorable pets.

And while they say you should never work with children or animals, Mr Taylor prefers his subject matter to have four legs.

It's a lot harder to achieve these results than you might think.

According to Mr Taylor, cats, rather than the bigger animals, make the most difficult photographic subjects.

Mr Taylor said: 'It ranges from quite easy - I would never describe it as very easy - to extremely difficult.
'There are some occasions where I get nothing because the animal just doesn't like being in the studio.'
Mr Taylor has a wide pool of animals to call upon for his photo shoots, not to mention the 20 he owns himself.
