Danni Allen took home the crown – but the runner-up wasn’t exactly far behind her.
The advertising account coordinator, 26, beat Jeff Nichols by just one pound.
Jeff on the other hand shed a staggering 181lbs, going from 388lbs to 207lbs. This meant he had lost 46.6% of his body weight.
Had Jeff managed to drop just one more pound, the percentage of his body weight lost would have exceeded Danni’s and he would have been the one taking home the $250,000 cash prize.
‘I didn't know that my dreams were possible, and I finally feel like my dream's come true,’ Danni said during the finale, before her last weigh-in.
‘I feel whole again and it just took clearing out all that mental stuff that I had going on to get to this place,’ she added.
But Jeff didn’t go home empty-handed, as he found romance with Francelina Morillo, who was eliminated earlier on in the competition, during the show.
This means that the 22-year-old, who works for an LGBT resource centre in Utah, managed to shed more than 42% of his body weight.
Danni wasn’t the only winner of the evening however.
Eliminated contestant Gina McDonald was awarded $100,000 after continuing her weight loss regime at home.
The 47-year-old, who peppered the season with plenty of dramatic moments, had lost 132lbs and 46.1% of her total body weight.
