And the pair decided to debut her bump for the first time with a bang on Tuesday night - by showing it off at the Trance premiere in Leicester Square.
The Inbetweeners star and wife Clair were among the celebrity guests at the special screening of Danny Boyle's latest picture.
Date night: The Inbetweeners star James Buckley
brought his pregnant wife Clair along to watch the movie, debuting her
baby bump for the first time since announcing the news earlier this
month
But she was clearly worrying about showing off her expectant figure in front of the fans and photographers.
She wrote on Twitter ahead of their appearance: ''Trance' premiere in Leicester Sq tonight! Just raiding the wardrobe to find a dress that fits my bump!! I may b crying in about half hour.'
Although she seemed confident enough as she smiled sweetly for the cameras while putting an arm around James.
And wanting to make an effort himself, Buckley even went and bought a brand new suit for the occasion.
That's one way to debut it! James' wife Clair,
who he married in November, opted for a black dress to show off her
burgeoning bump on Tuesday night
But being under the spotlight once more didn't seem to suit the pair, with James adding afterwards: 'Just done the red carpet at the odeon in Leicester square, felt very uncomfortable. Premiers aren’t my thing lets face it! :).'
It was only earlier this month that James revealed the happy news, after which he wrote to his fans: 'Thank you all for ur congrats on my baby news by the way I'm very happy to see my amazing family grow!'
He told The Sun as he revealed the news: "I'm excited and happy, everything is in working order.
Extending their family: James bought a new suit for the outing and cuddled up to his expectant wife before they headed back home
The pair wed in Clair in her native Scotland in November, complete with a kilt.
They were at the premiere to witness the new film by British director Danny Boyle, starring Rosario Dawson, James McAvoy and Vincent Cassel, who were all present on the red carpet.
And all eyes were on Rosario and Danny, who reportedly completely ignored each other during a movie junket for the film over the weekend following news they've apparently ended their romance.
But they went out of their way to put on a united front at the premiere for the film in London on Tuesday evening.
Whether they're exes who have managed to remain amicable for the sake of promoting the movie or whether they are trying to dispel reports of a break-up, they certainly looked comfortable and happy together on the red carpet.
What awkwardness? Rosario Dawson and reported ex
Danny Boyle brush off claims they have been ignoring each other since
their split by posing up together at the London premiere of their movie
Trance on Tuesday evening
Showing Danny what he's missing, she oozed glamour with her hair in a sophisticated up 'do with earrings dangling down.
And it seems she was carefully placed in the middle of her male cast mates and British director Boyle to avoid any more speculation.
Perfectly amicable: Rosario put her arm around
Danny, who she has reportedly ended her romance with, who co-ordinated
with her dress by wearing a red tie
Showing him what he's missing: The actress wore a
floorlength sequin and beaded gown from Jenny Packham as she walked the
red carpet on Tuesday evening
On her other arm she was joined by co-stars James McAvoy and Vincent Cassel, who also both opted for suits.
Although James kept his slightly look more dressed down thanks to the absence of a tie and his collar left open.
Cosy: Even when they changed photo positions Rosario still posed up next to Danny
All that glitters: The actress stunned in the
vibrant red frock as she showed off her good looks on the red carpet in
front of the Odeon West End
According to Us Weekly, the pair attended a press junket for their new film Trance over the weekend and completely ignored each other.
'Rosario and Danny didn't interact during interviews,' a source told the magazine. 'It was pretty obvious they're no longer a couple.'
Strike a pose: Rosario ensured she was pictured
smiling and at her best following reports she ignored Danny at a junket
for the movie over the weekend
Dazzling: She even co-ordinated with a red clutch bag while flashing some flesh with the cut out back
Jovial mood: She looked pleased to see co-star James McAvoy, while Danny stood behind her grinning widely himself
The couple met early last year when Rosario was cast in Danny's film Trance.
And she opened up about their romance in October 2012 to Access Hollywood on how she made the first move not long after.
Now's the time for a catch up? Rosario strutted along the red carpet while giggling away with a chatty James
Something funny? The pair shared a joke as they walked along in front of director Danny
'It was just one of those things where we were going to just go our separate ways had someone not said something.'
Although he wasn't the only star getting Rosario's attention, as she showed off her high spirits at the event.
Say cheese: Rosario and Danny joined each other for a team shot next to James McAvoy and Vincent Cassel
Side profile: The pair acted as if everything was normal, prompting speculation over their relationship status once more
Crowd pleaser: McAvoy happily stopped for fans as he made his way down the red carpet
Nice to meet you: James had a smug grin on his face as he showed off his facial hair
The pair walked along animatedly talking in full view of onlookers as they shared jokes.
Rosario and Danny recently holidayed in the Caribbean at the start of the year.
Lady in black: Actress Tuppence Middleton wore black trousers with a peplum top and heels for her big arrival
Ladies' night: Zara Martin and Dakota Blue were also on the guest list for the evening's festivities
'Rosario cancelled her planned party with just a few days' notice, saying she is deeply in love with Danny and that he hates Los Angeles and told her they'd have more fun in Barbados,' the insider said, adding, 'They're really serious about each other.'
Rosario and Danny's film tells the story of an art auctioneer who has become mixed up with a group of criminals and partners with a hypnotherapist in order to recover a lost painting.
Scarlett Johansson, Melanie Thierry and Zoe Saldana were considered for Rosario's role as movie heroine Elizabeth.
The film marks Danny's first feature since 127 Hours in 2010.
