Ben Affleck to direct Matt Damon and Casey Affleck in gangster flick

Long-time friends and Good Will Hunting co-writers Ben Affleck and Matt Damon are reteaming on Whitey Bulger gagster epic...
They have one of the most enduring relationships in Hollywood (with no signs of infidelity or divorce), so it’s a wonder that Ben Affleck and Matt Damon haven’t collaborated significantly since Good Will Hunting.

But now the pair, who’ve forged vastly different career paths since 1997, are taking on the tale of Whitey Bulger, notorious New England gangster. Affleck will be on directing duties as well as starring alongside Damon, who’ll be playing Bulger.
Also starring will be little bro Casey Affleck, who’s no stranger to collaborating with family after featuring in both Good Will Hunting and Gone Baby Gone. Terence Winter, creator of HBO’s Boardwalk Empire, will write the script.
In real life, Bulger spent 12 years on the FBI’s Most Wanted list after fleeing in 1994. The film will cover his youth and eventual imprisonment at Alcatraz.
