Now THAT'S festive spirit: Matt Damon dons garish Christmas cardigan on Today Show

As a father-of-three and stepfather to wife Luciana Bozan Barroso's children, Matt Damon will be playing Santa to a brood of children next weekend.
So it was fitting that the actor paid homage to the many faces of Father Christmas on the Today Show this morning, sporting a festive jumper for the programme’s Ugly Sweater segment.
Despite the fact he was wearing a colourful patchwork design - which came complete with frilly cuffs and collar, plus baubles and pearl details – the We Bought A Zoo star still managed to look fetching in the homemade garment.

The 41-year-old wore a dark blue pair of jeans and a black, white and grey shirt and tie set underneath the unfashionable pullover.
After joining others to show off their bad cardigans, he told interviewer Matt Lauer that loves the shaved head look at the moment and finds the change – which he has stuck with for over six months now - liberating.

Perhaps Matthew McConaughey is taking a leaf out of his namesake’s book with his new bald look.

Though McConaughey may not be able to pull off the look as well as his industry pal he will certainly agree with Matt’s statement about the freedom of being able to wash and go.
Damon also told the host that he and director Cameron Crowe where taking a huge risk when they decided to kill two birds with one stone by working with animals and children in one film.
He said: “I was not excited to be working with the snakes I’ve never been a snake guy, and [co-star Scarlett Johansson] was totally cool with it. The second she sensed some trepidation she was like wrapping them around her and putting them on the kids and the kids were laughing at me so I had to kind of man up.”

The family man is father to Isabella, four, Gia, two, Stella, 1, and stepfather to Alexia, 11, Luciana's daughter from a previous relationship.
Matt didn’t have to leave their side for too long as he followed through with promotional duties for the movie, which hits US cinemas on Friday.
The Oscar-winner only had to nip across town to record the appearance at New York’s Rockfeller Center as the Damon clan reside in the city’s premiere borough, Manhattan.
