Matt Damon has described his seven-second on screen kiss with Emily Blunt as 'very, very, very, very uncomfortable'. The pair star alongside each other in the upcoming action thriller, The Adjustment Bureau, were promoting the film US Morning TV programme The Today Show this morning.
Matt, 40, told host Meredith Vieira: 'By the time we shot that scene, it was really one of the last things we shot and we were really great friends and our spouses were really great friends and it was very, very, very, awkward.'

Too close for comfort: The actor says he had struck up a close friendship with his co-star, making their final kissing scene rather uncomfortable

'John Toll, the great cinematographer and also a friend of ours, he was shooting the film and he was equally uncomfortable,' he continued.


'He was saying "Guys it's only seven seconds, can you just give me seven seconds?'"
The Bourne star and British actress Emily, 28, now socialise outside of their promotional duties and even enjoyed a double date in Hollywood earlier this week.

Matt took along his wife Luciana and Emily was joined by her husband, The Office star John Krasinski, for dinner at Katsuya on Sunday.
Matt plays David Norris, a Congressman who meets ballerina Elise (Blunt), only to find that strange circumstances keep them from becoming romantically involved.
Norris discovers sinister forces are at work to separate them, and he has to investigate to find out why.
