us Van Sant replaces Matt Damon as director of Damon/Krasinski script

Matt Damon was too busy to direct the feature he co-wrote with The Office star, John Krasinski, so old buddy Gus Van Sant has stepped in…
Good Will Hunting director Gus Van Sant has stepped in to replace Matt Damon as the director of the as-yet untitled film co-written by Krasinski and Damon after the Bourne star dropped out due to lack of time.

How Damon’s former co-writer, Ben Affleck, feels about all this is unknown, though he did give this statement to reporters on his doorstep yesterday: “I just want (wipes away tear) Matt to be happy (gulp). John seems like a great guy and I wish them every happiness together. Now, if you’ll excuse me I have to go and… (runs weeping into house and slams door)”.
That’s obviously all a complete lie, we’re sorry about that. Ben Affleck is of course currently doing very well for himself, having helmed 2010’s very well received The Town and now directing Bryan Cranston and John Goodman in comedy drama, Argo.
We should be able to see the results of the Van Sant/Damon/Krasinski project in 2013.
